THE LIFE OF A FAMOUS CAT
It was a cold Sunday morning in February 1998 when I left for work. As I opened the front door, there he was, miaowing at me. But I was running late, so I left him there. Returning home eight hours later in a blizzard, I discovered he was still there, with a layer of snow over him, so I took him in. A routine check by the vet indicated he was eight years old. He settled in well and was so chilled out. Nothing could frighten him. The only time he got excited was when he spotted another cat on his territory and gave chase!
In 1999 he calmly sat on his settee and did nothing as burglars ransacked the house. I won custody of him in my divorce and he moved to Thornhill, quickly making friends with Samantha's cat, Rolind, and our dog, Lassie.
On Sunday 15th June this year, he went out as usual and failed to return. The place will never be the same!
