OUR CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SPECTACULAR in aid of the Sick Children's Trust took place in
early December. Arriva lent us a bus in which a buffet was served, and Councillor Masood
Ahmed assisted Eckersley House manager Jane McHale to switch on our 5000 lights. We
even built an illuminated bridge between our house and next door. Father Christmas
came along, and a great time was had by all. A grand total of £1008.44 was raised, and we
took the cheque to Eckersley House on 4th February.
MORE EVENTS include a bus enthusiasts' tour of all five Arriva-Yorkshire depots on 20th
April (see www.dewsburybusmuseum.webeden.co.uk/arrivatour for details) and our next
great Christmas lights spectacular will take place on Saturday 13th December 2008.

ELOISE had third birthday recently and is a bundle of fun. She misses her big sister during the school day, but we take her out to lots of exciting places. She has also joined the dancing school that Bethany attends. This picture was taken in Crow Nest Park on a trip to Dewsbury Museum. Both girls love museums!
BETHANY was 5 in March and started full-time school in January, staying for dinner. We have made arrangements for her to receive her medication in school. She has coped brilliantly with the long hours and is enjoying herself. She is making great progress with her reading and writing. She has moved up to the next class at her dancing school and starred in the show BARNUM in March. She still suffers with her liver problems, but won't let it hinder her progress.
SAMANTHA is now helping some of the older children in Bethany's school with reading practice on Monday afternoons, as well as taking the girls to dancing classes and maintaining the family blog (click the pink triangle at the top of this page).
I am buried under piles of paperwork. The job of Honorary Secretary to the Liverpool Blue Coat Brotherly Society is becoming quite hectic as the school celebrates its tricentenary. I also organise and drive on bus enthusiast events, attend many church functions and occasionally do a bit of my "real" job driving buses from Dewsbury. Somewhere among all this there is even a bit of family life!
