21/05/07 - From Dave Bolt (N. Vancouver, Canada):

I was at the [Blue Coat] School from 1951 to 1957. It is interesting to read your experiences. I am planning to visit in 2008. I have not been in England for over 25 years - going to be a shock!

I moved from Cobden St to Garway, then from there to 7 Halewood Drive and lived there till I married in 1958 (did my national service 55-57) joined the RAF 1963 back in the medical branch. Retired to Nottingham in 1982 and remain here. Had a family of 4, all grown up now, have 6 grandchildren (married a girl from Dovecot, Knotty Ash).

COMMENT ABOUT THIS WEBSITE SPOTTED ON www.yoliverpool.com

"Interesting website here, although it's a bit of a pain to navigate. It's nice to read a site from someone who left [The Blue Coat School] without sitting A levels and is happy with his life as a bus driver, unlike those on friendsreunited who all claim to be brain surgeons and company directors. I was there 1982-89 and hated 95% of it, often being ridiculed for not wanting to vote Conservative and my passion for football. Despite this I'm still a little nostalgic and quite looking forward to the tricentenary celebrations."
