CHAMPION CHILDREN

Each year the Dewsbury Reporter Group of newspapers holds a "Champion Children" Awards ceremony to acknowledge outstanding achievements of local children. Bethany was nominated, and received her award at the Gomersal Park Hotel on 23rd April 2007. Clare Frisby (presenter of BBC TV's Look North) hosted the ceremony, and Bethany received her award from Andy Kelly of Dewsbury Rams RLFC. One of the event's sponsors was Arriva Yorkshire, so I discovered my bosses from work were there!
