"Assembly - this way!" Looking from the main entrance along the Shirley Hall Corridor. (The white doors at the far end were added in 2004).
Lunch was originally taken by the whole school in one sitting, at octagonal tables in the Dining Hall. Those who brought packed lunches consumed them on the "Butty Balcony" overlooking the rest of us. The teachers were served at long tables placed at one end. The Headmaster sat at the centre, with the trophy cabinet behind him. In 1973 we were split into two sittings, years 1-3 at 12.35 and years 4-6 at 12.50. (The Dining Hall is now the School Library).
Below are my timetables for each of my six years from 1971 to 1977. Woodwork and Metalwork were rotated with Art and Craft.
(On the 6th Form timetable, the red squares were General Studies subjects in which we were rotated each half term).
To view each timetable, simply left-click on it. Then you can right-click to zoom in, or out.
To return to the gallery, left-click on the small square at the top right corner of the timetable.
